These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and PeltaX ("PeltaX," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the PeltaX mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By downloading, installing, or using the PeltaX application, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
PeltaX is a subscription management tool that:
PeltaX provides bank connectivity in a read-only capacity. We cannot and do not move money, initiate transfers, or make purchases on your behalf.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use PeltaX. By using the Service, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to link the bank accounts you connect through the Service.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@peltax.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
PeltaX uses Plaid Inc. to connect to your financial institutions. By connecting a bank account, you agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy available at plaid.com/legal/end-user-privacy-policy.
You authorize PeltaX to retrieve read-only transaction data through Plaid for the purpose of detecting and managing your subscriptions. This authorization remains active until you disconnect the bank account from within the PeltaX app.
5.1 Automated Cancellation (Tier 1 & 2)
For supported merchants, PeltaX attempts to cancel your subscription using automated browser scripts. These scripts may fail due to:
PeltaX will notify you of cancellation outcomes. If an automated cancellation fails, PeltaX will provide guidance for manual cancellation. You are responsible for completing manual cancellation steps if automated attempts are unsuccessful.
5.2 Email Cancellation (Tier 3)
For merchants that accept email-based cancellation, PeltaX may send a cancellation request email on your behalf using your Google Gmail account (via the gmail.send permission). Merchant acceptance of email cancellation requests is outside PeltaX's control. We do not guarantee that email cancellation requests will be honored by merchants.
5.3 Manual Cancellation (Tier 4)
For merchants that require phone calls, certified mail, or in-person visits, PeltaX provides step-by-step guidance. You are solely responsible for completing these cancellations.
5.4 No Guarantee of Savings
Savings figures displayed in the app are estimates based on detected subscription amounts and successful cancellations. Actual savings depend on successful cancellation execution and may differ from displayed figures. PeltaX is not liable for charges that occur as a result of a failed or incomplete cancellation.

You acknowledge that by using PeltaX's automated cancellation features, you are directing PeltaX to act as your agent for the limited purpose of cancelling your subscription with a merchant. You remain responsible for compliance with any merchant's terms of service. PeltaX is not a party to any agreement between you and any merchant.
All content, software, trademarks, service marks, and intellectual property associated with PeltaX — including the detection engine, merchant knowledge base, cancellation scripts, and mobile application — are owned by PeltaX and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written consent.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PELTAX AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
IN NO EVENT SHALL PELTAX'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO PELTAX IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $50 USD.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. PELTAX EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PeltaX and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@peltax.app or using the account deletion option in the app settings.
PeltaX reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including sections on limitation of liability, disclaimer of warranties, and indemnification.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and notify you via in-app notification or email. Your continued use of PeltaX following notice of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PeltaX regarding your use of the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
